◆ What is the COFI Wooden Architecture Design Award?
The COFI Wooden Architecture Design Award (Big & Tall Wood Challenge) is being held to promote the use of timber and popularize wooden architecture. If the main structure is made of wood, there are no restrictions on whether the wood used is domestic or imported, and the construction method. It is an award that evaluates wooden buildings in an open manner. It was judged in two categories, “Middle-rise wooden building category” and “Large-scale wooden building category”. The “middle-rise wooden building category” targets buildings whose main structure is wooden and has four or more floors, and the “large-scale wooden building category” targets buildings whose main structure is wooden and has three floors or less and 1,000 m2 or more.
